Roles Available in the Football Education Programme
Supported by a dedicated community at Stockport Sports Village, our team empowers students to develop their skills, build confidence, and achieve their goals both academically and athletically.
Educators and Teachers
- Deliver Engaging & High-Quality Lessons – Teach a range of subjects, ensuring students receive a strong academic foundation alongside their football training.
- Support Student Development – Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to help students achieve their educational and sporting goals.
- Work Closely with Coaching Staff – Collaborate with football coaches to ensure students effectively balance their studies and training commitments.
- Monitor & Assess Academic Progress – Track student achievements, provide feedback, and tailor learning plans to individual needs.
- Promote Professionalism & Life Skills – Help students develop key skills for both their football careers and future education or employment pathways.
Support
- Provide Administrative & Operational Assistance – Help coordinate schedules, student enrolment, and programme logistics.
- Support Student Wellbeing & Development – Offer guidance and mentorship to help students manage their studies and football training.
- Assist with Matchday & Training Logistics – Organise travel, equipment, and facilities to ensure smooth operations.
- Liaise with Educators, Coaches & Parents – Act as a key point of contact to support student progress and communication.
- Promote a Positive Learning Environment – Ensure students receive the necessary resources and support to excel academically and athletically.
Coaches
- Deliver High-Quality Coaching Sessions – Plan and implement structured training programmes that align with the club’s playing philosophy.
- Support Player Development – Help young footballers improve their technical, tactical, and physical abilities.
- Combine Education & Football – Work with academic staff to ensure students balance their studies with their football commitments.
- Monitor & Assess Progress – Provide regular feedback, performance analysis, and individual development plans.
- Create a Positive Learning Environment – Inspire and mentor young players while instilling professionalism and club values.
