We are seeking reliable and flexible casual drivers to support transport operations across the Academy, Football Education and Community Trust.
This role involves transporting players, staff, and equipment between training sites, matches, and
community programmes, as well as occasional travel to away fixtures. Hours will vary each week,
including mornings, evenings, and weekends, depending on schedules and operational needs.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are organised, safety-conscious, and enjoy
working as part of a professional football environment.
Key Responsibilities
● Safely drive players, staff, and equipment between club facilities (Edgeley Park, Stockport
Sports Village, Stockport County Training Centre) and away matches/events.
● Follow transport schedules, while being flexible to last-minute changes due to fixtures,
training, and events.
● Support with travel to and from host families where required.
● Ensure passenger safety and wellbeing at all times, with particular care when working with
young players.
● Carry out basic upkeep checks on club vehicles (fuel, cleanliness, reporting maintenance
issues).
● Assist with kit/equipment loading and unloading as required.
● Communicate effectively with staff across Academy, Football Education, and Community
Trust departments
What We're Looking For
● A responsible and reliable individual who is punctual and professional.
● Someone flexible, calm under pressure, and adaptable to varying schedules.
● Previous driving or logistics experience (sports, education, or similar desirable).
● A full, clean UK driving licence.
● D1 Driving License entitlement is essential for the role.
● Safeguarding awareness and willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
