Competing under the name Stockport County Women from the 2026/27 season, the Club is committed to creating an environment where players, staff and coaches can thrive, reflecting our long-term ambition to grow the women's game and provide greater opportunities at every level.
With a dedicated home at Park Road and continued investment in the future of the programme, we're building strong foundations on and off the pitch. As women's football continues to grow at an unprecedented rate, Stockport County is committed to playing its part in developing talent, creating opportunities and helping shape the future of the game in Stockport and beyond.

What to expect
Stockport County Women is entering an exciting new chapter. Following the transition from Stockport County Ladies, the Club has adopted a semi-professional model, established a dedicated home at Park Road and is investing in the people, facilities and culture needed to build one of the country's leading women's football programmes.
Working within the Women's team means helping shape that journey. Whether you're supporting performance, operations, medical services, analysis, communications or administration, you'll play a key role in creating an environment where players and staff can thrive.
No two days are the same. You could be supporting training sessions, coordinating matchday operations, working alongside coaches and support staff, managing logistics, or helping deliver the professional standards expected across every area of the programme.
As the Women's game continues to grow, so do the opportunities to make a genuine impact. This is a chance to be part of a team building something ambitious from the ground up - creating pathways, raising standards and helping establish Stockport County Women as a leading force in the game.
Roles supporting First Team operations
Enabling high-performance environments through preparation, coordination, and day-to-day support of the First Team.
First Team Coach
As a First Team Coach, you'll play a key role in developing players and supporting the delivery of the Club's football philosophy. Your responsibilities will include:
- Training Session Delivery: Planning and delivering high-quality coaching sessions that develop individual players and enhance team performance.
- Player Development: Supporting players with technical, tactical and positional coaching, helping them maximise their potential both individually and collectively.
- Match Preparation: Assisting with tactical planning, opposition analysis and session design to ensure the squad is fully prepared for each fixture.
- Matchday Support: Working alongside the coaching staff during matches, providing tactical insight, in-game observations and support with decision-making.
- Performance Analysis: Reviewing training sessions and matches to identify areas for improvement, using data and video analysis to inform coaching and player development.
- Collaborative Working: Building strong relationships across the football department, working closely with sports science, medical, analysis and operations staff to create the best possible environment for the squad to succeed.
Head Coach
As Head Coach, you'll lead the football programme, creating a high-performance environment that enables players and staff to reach their full potential. Responsible for the team's playing philosophy, culture and day-to-day football operations, your responsibilities will include:
- Football Leadership: Leading the coaching staff and setting the strategic direction for the team, ensuring a clear playing identity and high-performance culture.
- Training & Performance: Planning and overseeing training sessions that develop players, improve team performance and prepare the squad for competition.
- Matchday Management: Taking responsibility for team selection, tactical approach and in-game decision-making to maximise performance on matchdays.
- Player Development: Supporting the progression of individual players through tailored coaching, regular feedback and long-term development planning.
- Recruitment & Squad Planning: Working alongside the football leadership team to identify recruitment priorities, assess potential signings and build a balanced, competitive squad.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Inspiring players and staff while working closely with medical, sports science, analysis and operations teams to create an environment where everyone can perform at their best.
